The Hepatitis A vaccine helps prevent infection caused by the Hepatitis A Virus (HAV), which spreads through contaminated food or water. Symptoms include fever, fatigue, nausea, loss of appetite, jaundice (yellowing of skin or eyes), and abdominal pain.
Who should receive the Hepatitis A Vaccine?
Adults without previous vaccination or natural immunity should receive 2 doses, spaced 6 months apart, for long-term protection.
