Anaemia Screening

To target anaemia caused by mineral deficiencies and thalassemia, recommended for symptomatic individuals experiencing ongoing dizziness, shortness of breath, and weakness. This add-on package is inclusive of:

Blood Analysis Iron Deficiency Screen:

Iron serum: Measures the amount of iron in the blood
Vitamin B9/Folic acid/Folate: Measures red blood cell formation
Vitamin B12: Measures cell metabolism
Ferritin: Measures how much iron is stored in the body
% Iron Saturation: Calculates the percentage of transferrin that is saturated with iron
Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC): Measures how well iron attaches to transferrin and other proteins

Blood Analysis Thalassemia Screen:

Haemoglobin Electrophoresis: Taken to rule out thalassemia, an inherited blood disorder that causes the body to make fewer than normal red blood cells
