BMD Hip & Spine AP

Bone Mineral Density (BMD) Hip and Spine is a non-invasive imaging procedure that is routinely performed on the lower spine (Lumbar) and hip with low-dose X-rays. This procedure is to measure bone health and diagnose osteoporosis; a condition where gradual calcium loss and structural changes occur in the bones, thereby increasing the risk of fractures. This assessment may allow for early intervention and preventive measures to protect bone health and reduce the risk of fractures.
