Preparing for a BMD Scan
When scheduling your appointment, please inform our staff if you’ve had recent contrast media injections or nuclear medicine studies. Wear comfortable clothing without metal components.
During the BMD scan, you’ll be comfortably positioned on a specialised table as the technology swiftly captures detailed images. This non-invasive and painless procedure emits minimal radiation.
What happens during the BMD Scan
Our skilled technologists ensure your comfort and proper positioning for the scan. The procedure, quick and precise, provides detailed images with unmatched accuracy, requiring minimal patient cooperation and only a brief amount of time.
Accessing your results
Following the BMD scan, a comprehensive report will be digitally accessible for review. If you were referred, your healthcare provider will receive a comprehensive report promptly, enabling them to discuss the findings and recommendations with you during a follow-up appointment.
Printed copies of the images can be provided upon request (additional charges may apply).
